A sudden halt on my way to conquer
Was the Achilles’ heel that made my path darker
The sight that lay before me had become scary..
And I began to shiver and feel sorry..
For I had tread this path with so much Hope
But now before me was a hurdle so great inside and scope.
Whether it stood or lay I could not really tell,
The fact was that it stood great, and sent all my courage to hell.
I had begun this journey with a spark of Determination
Through thick and thin I passed, as well as many a dire situation
Enduring all obstacles I steadily moved towards my Goal
Now that I had full come out of my hole

The sight of my long awaited goal was forcing me back inside
Then came the deceiver, whose counsel I had shoved aside
Once more he came, and soon he left with his mark
With seeds of fear, cowardice and laziness he made my life dark
His uncontrollable influence made me see my goal as being so great,
And gradually I lost a sense of continuity and surrendered everything to fate

But then a thin little voice, disguised as Conscience, cried out
Unlike the latter, it left no seeds to sprout.
All it told me was to Believe and I would receive
What I lacked that made all my efforts retrieve
It made me see the kind of seeds the deceiver had quickly sown.
For he wanted people to join him on his rebellious groan,
Which decades ago turned him into a traitor
A master of lies and dictator
The little voice told me to shrink the image I had seen
And then I would realize how small the image had always been
I did, and soon I found out that all this while I had placed a magnifier before my eyes
With a renewed sense of Hope I uprooted all the seeds from the master of lies
I resumed my never ending journey which I was sure Heaven would gladly bless.
A journey whose name has and will always and forever be SUCCESS!!...
